The second cause

Feudalism was still being practiced in France during the time. The nobles and clergy didn't have to pay taxes. While they didn't have to pay, the commoners had to pay heavily. They had to work hard and still had very little to no political power. The nobles and clergy wanted to revolt because the commoners became disconnected with them.
